OUR APPROACH IN SERIOUS & HIGH-PROFILE CASES

Empathy in Practice

We recognise that facing prosecution — especially when remanded into custody — places enormous stress on clients and families.

Although Legal Aid funding no longer allows solicitors the time to provide the extensive emotional support many clients need during the trial stage, we believe compassion should never be compromised.

We therefore prioritise:

  • Keeping families updated and involved
  • Helping clients understand the process despite the limitations they face in custody
  • Providing reassurance during long, uncertain proceedings

We know that once a case reaches trial, much of the support clients and families have relied on can suddenly feel absent, as solicitors are not funded to attend. We recognise that this falls short of what people need at such a critical stage. That is why, for the clients and families who need us most, we do attend—offering stability, a familiar face in and outside court, timely and meaningful updates, prompt action on any issues that arise during the trial, and genuine care throughout the proceedings.

We aim to make sure our clients and their loved ones never feel abandoned — even when the system creates barriers.

Meticulous Defence Work

High-profile and serious crime cases demand exceptional preparation. Our work typically includes:

  • Analysis of extensive digital and forensic evidence
  • Collaboration with specialist experts and counsel
  • Identifying and challenging weaknesses in the prosecution's case
  • Ensuring that clients’ rights are rigorously upheld and fought for

Every case is approached with diligence, clarity and strategic foresight.

Many of our cases have attracted significant media attention, but our priority remains constant: ensuring fairness for our client.

We provide measured, confident representation regardless of public or press interest.

WHY THESE CASES MATTER

These cases reflect:

  • The seriousness of the matters we are trusted to handle
  • Our reputation for competence under pressure
  • Our ability to manage multi-defendant, evidence-heavy litigation
  • Our commitment to clients and their families during the most difficult moments of their lives

Even where outcomes are not as hoped, our dedication to fairness, dignity and support never wavers.
