Biography & Introduction

Philip Daulby is Sampson Bailey’s Financial Business Consultant and Strategist, advising the firm on financial and commercial matters and supporting individual client matters where his specialist expertise is required.

Philip is an experienced and approachable accountant and business adviser with over thirty years’ experience, gained through running his own accountancy practice. He is widely regarded as a trusted adviser, recognised for providing clear, well-reasoned guidance to businesses, professional firms and private individuals across a broad range of sectors. His ethos is to build long-term relationships founded on trust, whilst consistently maintaining high professional standards.

 

Philip is particularly valued for his ability to analyse complex financial and business issues, exercise sound judgement, and deliver practical solutions that facilitate confident decision-making.

 

As a forensic accountant and expert witness, Philip regularly supports lawyers by preparing clear, robust and comprehensive reports to assist in clarifying financial positions and requirements in the context of litigation, dispute resolution and negotiations.

 

He also has significant experience advising businesses on acquisitions and corporate transactions, including international matters, with expertise in due diligence and strategic, board-level negotiations. This includes playing a key role in facilitating a UK client’s acquisition by a US business, involving senior engagement with founders, investors and other key stakeholders throughout the transaction process, including the TV Dragons.

 

Philip adopts a hands-on, founder-led approach, working closely with clients over time to understand their objectives, challenges and long-term ambitions, always acting with their best interests at the forefront.
